As Harry struggles to stay alive in the tournament while dealing with Voldemort’s return, he must also grapple with teenage angst and romance. When Harry’s name is mysteriously chosen as one of the tournament’s participants, he must contend with dragons, underwater obstacles, and a deadly maze in order to survive The Triwizard Tournament, a prestigious magical competition that has been dormant for nearly a century, is being revived, and Hogwarts is one of the selected schools to participate. “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” picks up shortly after the events of the third book, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” Harry is now 14 years old and entering his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When it becomes clear that somebody is using dark magic to sabotage the tournament, Harry must put aside his differences with Cedric and discover who is responsible before it’s too late. Meanwhile, there is unrest brewing at Hogwarts as students are divided between supporting Harry Potter or Cedric Diggory, the other Hogwarts champion. Harry Potter is unexpectedly selected as the fourth contestant in the Triwizard Tournament, which requires him to face three challenging tasks. ![]()
